Celebrating our Resilient Leader Sheena Dume, as she spoke at the New Jersey Coalition Against Trafficking Gala, on May 14, 2024. Sheena is not only an advocate but she is a Survivor of Trafficking and a Leader on a mission to STOP THE TRAFFICK!
With the help of amazing souls we were able to cook a hot wholesome breakfast for those living in shelters & on the streets Thanksgiving morning.
Love, hope and dignity for all was the theme for this day and the cornerstone of our mission
Over 300 meals were served alone this morning.
Thanksgiving morning HABAKKUKS VISION CHARITABLE MINISTRIES joined forces with OUTRAGEOUS OUTREACH to serve and provide 336 hot breakfast platters at one of the men and women's shelters in Newark, NJ.
We thank all of our volunteers who sacrificed time away from their families to spend time with our brothers and sisters that are living in shelters and displaced.
The overflow was so great that our day was extended to conduct street outreach and fed 61 persons living on the streets and distributed resources.
We cannot thank everyone enough who helped support this day of service. We could have not done it alone but.....TOGETHER WE CAN!
On Friday, September 3, 2021, we joined The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation to provide support to 1,200 pre-identified Newark Central Ward families who are struggling and experiencing financial difficulties.
The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation (TMJF’s) is teamed up with Amazon, Amerigroup and Habbakuk’s Vision amongst other community resource partners to host the “Get Ready Fest”. Get Ready Fest is the Foundation's signature community outreach event that provides families residing in vulnerable communities with access to a wide array of essential resources including; food, essential dignity and hygiene items, health and wellness products, education and social services, to help them thrive.
GOODr is TMJF’s food partner. Mayor Ras J. Baraka was also there to lend his support and spoke at the event.
As we celebrate this Hispanic Heritage Month we are proud to announce that our Afro-Latino Founder and Executive Director Ms Aisha Babilonia along with Ms Leyanis Dias of WeAreMajor and Sharlene Pelayo of Heights Wellness and Beauty Spa were the three finalist out of 300 to be awarded the “Afro-Latina Jefas Grant” each by WeAllGrowLatina and SupportLatinoBiz.
On August 21, 2021 Team HBBKV and NJRCI held a Community Health Fair. We distributed delicious food from 2muchSauce Food Truck, and gave out food to the community. We also provided assistance with:

Team HBBKV celebrates with Ms Topeka Sam Executive Director and Founder of The Ladies of Hope Ministries as she was honoured by the WNBA Liberty Basketball Team. for her contribution to Prison Reform.
On June 22nd 2021, the spotlight was on Ms. Topeka K. Sam, Founder and Executive Director of The Ladies of Hope Ministries. She was honoured for her contributions to Prison Reform and the well being of Formerly Incarcerated.
Ms Aisha Babilonia, Founder and Executive Director of Habakkuk's Vision and her Team where at the event to support her.
In a statement made by Ms Babilonia she said "we share the same passion for the Formerly Incarcerated and Prison Reform and we will continue to push together for changes".
