We provide Transitional Housing which will lead to permanent housing for the elderly, formerly incarcerated individuals who are past the age of retirement, face disabilities and/or lack the skills sets that will qualify them for work.
We recognize that Age discrimination is a wide barrier this target population is facing. Furthermore, more than a third of people living in communities are living below the poverty line. In combating this gap that obviously leads to homelessness, we will aid in projects that will lead into the development of businesses geared towards providing jobs for those transitioning into society as well as local residents.
For the elderly community we realize acquiring jobs may not be idea. Efforts towards acquisition of grants that will aid in supportive housing for these group of individuals will be key. Extreme focus will be given to partnership between Local Housing Authorities and Housing Grantors to provide:
